Install EggWatch on iPhone and choose your alerts

Add the website to your Home Screen

EggWatch's iPhone app is the website installed on your Home Screen. It uses the same public feed and your device's saved preferences. You do not need to download the Windows ZIP onto an iPhone, and creating an EggWatch account is optional for viewing the tracker.

Apple supports Web Push for Home Screen web apps on iOS 16.4 and later. Open EggWatch from its installed icon before enabling iPhone alerts; an ordinary browser tab is not the same installed app context.

1. Open https://eggwatcher.com in Safari.
2. Open the Share menu and choose Add to Home Screen. Confirm the name EggWatch and add it.
3. Return to your Home Screen and open the new EggWatch icon.
4. Go to the notification area on the tracker and choose which eggs you want to hear about.
5. Tap Save notification choices, then Enable iPhone alerts. Allow notifications when iOS asks.

Choose all high-rarity eggs or specific names

All high-rarity eggs includes the supported Secret, Eternal, and Divine entries. Selected eggs lets you choose individual names. For example, selecting Skeleton Horse and Pegasus limits your egg alerts to those chosen names; it does not subscribe you to every Eternal egg. Save after changing the selection.

Selecting no names pauses selected-egg alerts. If nothing arrives, check this before reinstalling. The catalogue grows as new eggs are added, so refresh the app to see new choices. Someone publishing the global feed must also be using a detector version that recognises those new names.

Notification choices belong to the device or browser where you save them. Signing into the same EggWatch account on another device does not automatically copy the first device's alert permission. Set up and save the choices on each device where you want notifications.

Check the test alert and the feed separately

Enabling alerts starts the permission and subscription setup and attempts a test notification. A working test shows that this device can display an alert at that moment. It does not prove that a watcher is currently publishing new eggs or that your selected egg has spawned.

When a test works but real alerts do not arrive, check the live feed's sync message and the time of its newest confirmation. If no active watcher is sending fresh results, there may be no new event to notify you about. If the feed is fresh, compare the egg name with your saved selection.

When even the test is missing, check EggWatch's notification permission in iPhone Settings and whether Focus is silencing it. If you denied the original permission request, change the setting before trying Enable iPhone alerts again. Also confirm that you launched the Home Screen icon rather than returning to the old browser tab.

What an alert can and cannot tell you

An egg alert reports a confirmed result from the shared feed. Delivery can be delayed by the network, the device, or the push service, so check the timestamp after opening it. Receiving an alert does not reserve an egg or guarantee that it remains available in your current Roblox session.

The website avoids repeating the same event when both an open page and background push receive it. Reopening the app should not be treated as a way to replay every old notification. Use Previous eggs when you want to inspect saved detections instead.

Rift reminders use their own Notify me control and require EggWatch to remain open. They follow the configured clock schedule rather than a newly detected egg. Changing the egg picker does not enable or disable that separate reminder.
