Browsing and device preferences

You can view the tracker and guides without registering. Your browser stores device preferences such as egg notification choices, event reminder settings, and cached feed results. These preferences can differ between devices. Clearing site data removes locally saved preferences and may sign you out.

The hosting service also processes information needed to deliver requests, such as network addresses and technical request details. EggWatch uses limited request information to protect account actions against abuse.

Optional accounts and public content

Video titles, authors and links are public. Thumbnails load from YouTube; opening a video takes you to YouTube.

Registration stores a unique username and a salted password hash. The site uses a secure session cookie to keep you signed in; sessions expire after 30 days. Password changes invalidate existing sessions. Nobody, including the owner and admins, can view your existing password.

You can optionally register passkeys. EggWatch stores the credential ID, public key, a name you choose, sign-in counter, website address and creation/last-use dates. Your device or password manager keeps the private key; EggWatch never receives your fingerprint, face data or device PIN.

After verifying account ownership, authorized moderators can issue a single-use password-reset code valid for 30 minutes. Only a hash of the code is stored. Recovery actions record the issuing moderator, affected account, action and time for security. Completing recovery signs out all devices and removes the account’s old passkeys. Admins cannot reset other admins or the owner.

Suggestions, their authors, like totals, public profiles, chosen avatars and banners, bios, community ranks, and donation rank badges are visible to other visitors. Owners and admins can view an account directory to manage community ranks. Do not upload information you do not want others to see.

Suggestion translations and custom sounds

When automatic translation is connected, the title and text of public suggestions are sent to OpenAI to translate them into your selected language. Usernames, private messages, passwords and account details are not sent with translation requests. Translations may be cached for up to seven days; original posts remain unchanged and can be viewed at any time.

Custom notification audio is saved in this browser’s local storage database, not uploaded to EggWatch. Removing a sound or clearing site data removes the saved audio from this device. Custom sounds play while the website is open; closed-app alerts use the operating system’s notification sound.

Last seen and direct messages

While you browse EggWatch in a visible tab while logged in, the site records your most recent activity, approximately once a minute. That last-seen time is public on your profile, including to visitors who are not logged in. Hidden tabs stop sending activity updates; the time is a recent activity indicator, not a guarantee that someone is still available.

Direct messages, conversation participants, and unread markers are stored so conversations are available across your devices. Messages do not appear on public profiles or suggestions. The messaging interface restricts access to the sender and recipient; administrator and owner ranks do not give access to other members’ conversations. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. You can block another member to stop new messages in either direction; existing messages remain in the conversation.

Website usage

A random first-party cookie lasting 180 days estimates guest browsers and visits. Guest totals are visible only to the owner and admins. This tracking stores no IP addresses, page history or account links. Clearing or blocking cookies affects the count.

EggWatch records signed-in time on visible pages and visit totals. Only the owner and admins can view these usage rankings. No browsing history or message content is recorded for rankings.

Watcher data and notifications

The Windows companion processes captured game frames on the PC. Its feed updates contain structured egg names, rarities, times, and watcher status rather than sending game frames to the website. Profile pictures and banners are separate uploads and are stored so they can be displayed publicly.

If you enable browser notifications, EggWatch stores the push subscription endpoint and egg choices needed to deliver those alerts through your browser's push service. You can block notifications in your browser or device settings. Device permissions and website account sessions are separate controls.

Owner PC control

Screen viewing sends private snapshots of the primary display to your owner account. They expire after 20 seconds without a new request; stopping the view or removing the PC deletes them. No video recording is saved.

PC control stores pairing details and restart status. Device keys are protected by Windows; the server stores only their hashes.

Donations and external services

Buy Me a Coffee processes donations. EggWatch receives payment-event details used to calculate verified donation totals and rankings; EggWatch does not collect your payment-card details. A donation code can link a verified supporter record to your account. Refunded payments are excluded from leaderboard totals.

Links to Discord, Roblox, and Buy Me a Coffee take you to separate services with their own privacy practices. If you configure a Discord webhook in the Windows companion, selected spawn notifications are sent to the destination you chose.

Advertising

EggWatch loads Google AdSense across the website to support automatic advertising. Where ads are served, Google and its partners may use cookies or other identifiers to deliver, measure, and personalise advertising, subject to the applicable consent choices.

Questions and data requests

You can change your bio, picture, banner, and password through My profile after signing in. For other account-data questions or a deletion request, contact Cs_Thunder using the EggWatch contact options. Ask for a private conversation and do not post your password or private codes publicly. Information required for your account, public contributions, notifications, and verified supporter records remains stored until changed or removed; some service records may also be needed for security or payment reconciliation.
